1. How much do you charge?
I have several different packages and am open to customizing a package if you can’t find
what you need. Please email me directly for pricing.
2. Do you shoot film or digital?
I learned on film and love it but have made the transition to digital. I can still pull out the film
cameras if you like as I think film has a special appeal. Believe it or not, I use my iPhone a lot.
I’ve gotten some really cool photo apps that I just love. Don’t worry I only use it for arty fun stuff.
3. How long have you been shooting weddings?
25 years. I can’t believe it. I started when I was two. Just kidding. I got my start shooting
weddings in CA and the moved out here 22 years ago and have been shooting them ever since.
4. Why you over another photographer?
I’d say experience, talent and my awesome sense of humor. Really I’m quite funny. When
appropriate. Shooting a wedding is like shooting a sporting event. You have to know what is
going to happen and how to anticipate and roll with change. There are so many factors in a
wedding that you really have to be able to know how to handle whatever comes up. I also
believe in planning. I don’t want you to have to think for one minute about anything photography
related on your wedding day. I make sure we have a few good, deep conversations so we have
a game plan that you can feel confident in and you don’t have to worry for one minute.
I also love how I shoot. I really want to capture what is authentic and rich about your
partnership. I love all the little things going on at a wedding. It’s so awesome to see and every
wedding is different. My goal is to show you what happened in a beautiful, honest and artistic
way. I want to show you as you really are, not some made up version of you. HOWEVER, I do
have a fashion photography background so when we are doing the portraits of you and your
honey, I like to bring that out a bit. Just a bit.
5. How do you handle families that don’t get along?
That’s where the deep conversations come in. I don’t want to ask someone to stand next to
someone they can’t deal with or in anyway make someone feel uncomfortable. On that note, I
have seen people really rise to the occasion to get along at weddings.
6. Do you offer smaller packages for smaller weddings or elopements?
Yes, I sure do. Shoot me an email with your details and I can get you a price/package.
7. Is it just you or do you shoot with a 2nd photographer?
It depends on the situation. I usually shoot alone but some weddings require a 2nd
photographer, so I bring one on.
8. What happens if you get sick?
I have a bunch of trusted photographers in my life that I would pass it on to them. I always
make sure that one is available. However, in 25 years I have never needed one. I even showed
up at a wedding with a broken toe.
9. How long before we see our wedding photos?
Usually takes 3-4 weeks.
10. How do we view our images?
I have an online website that you can view and order from. You can also share this link with all
your friends and family.
10.5 How long before we get our album?
It generally takes a few rounds to get the album looking like you want it and then once delivered
to Italy it takes 4-6 weeks.
11. What products do you offer?
I offer albums, beautifully handcrafted albums from Italy, canvas prints, thank you cards, metallic
prints, and digital files.
12. How do you handle yourself at a wedding?
It’s not about me it’s about you. I’m only there to make beautiful memories for you. I don’t need
or want attention, I want all the attention on you.
13. How do you handle stressful situations.
I am there if needed. I am more than willing to support you and yours in any way possible but I
also know when it’s time to step away. Stress is a normal part of any big day, but I don’t want you
to feel any stress in regards to photography. I’ve been known to put my camera down and offer
a hug if that is what is needed.
14.Will you travel for our wedding?
Absolutely. I’ve traveled all over the world for weddings and love to do so.
15. Is there a charge to travel?
If you are getting married up in the mountains and it’s a late wedding I charge a small travel fee and
request a room for the night in addition to my packages.
16. What type of equipment do you use?
I shoot with all the top of the line Canon cameras and I always have two on me at a time. I also
bring extra gear in case anything goes wrong.
17.What is your photographic style?
As I said before, I love shooting the stories of you all. I find it endlessly fascinating and
beautiful. I love what is real and my goal is to give you just that. The majority of my work is
storytelling. I do of course do all the posed photos but leave the number of photos up to you. I
have a shot list that I provide for you to fill out and that is all the posing I do.
18. Is important for us to meet?
I prefer to meet you if at all possible. I find it helps us to create a connection so on our wedding
day you are not at all uncomfortable around me. I want you to know that you are in good hands
with me. If you are at all uncomfortable around me then that shows up. I don’t want that for you.
It also helps me see who you are as a couple so I can be sure to capture you just right on your
wedding day. If a meeting is impossible then a few good phone conversations will be ok
